Ordering a Control Concepts SCR power controller starts with understanding your application and selecting the right configuration. Whether you use one of our online configurators or work directly with our team, the goal is the same: get you a controller that fits your system and performs reliably.

For most applications, the fastest way to get started is with one of our configurators. These tools walk you through the selection process step by step and help ensure you’re choosing the correct controller for your requirements.

These configurators are ideal for standard applications and will guide you through key decisions such as phase type, current rating, control method, and communication options.

If your application requires something beyond a standard configuration, we can help you develop a custom controller. Many Control Concepts solutions begin as modified or fully custom designs created in collaboration with OEM equipment manufacturers. Custom controllers are often the most practical and cost-effective way to meet exact specifications, especially when electrical requirements, mechanical constraints, or system integration needs fall outside typical configurations.

In addition to controllers, you may also need supporting components such as fuses, fuse holders, or interface modules These accessories are designed to work seamlessly with our controllers and help ensure safe and reliable system operation.

Key Information When Ordering

To move quickly through the ordering process, it’s important to have key application details available. The more complete your information, the easier it is to identify the correct controller.

  • Load voltage and phase ( i.e. 480V and three phase)
  • Load configuration (delta or wye)
  • Load rating in amps, kW (kVA), or resistance
  • Load type (i.e. nichrome, silicon carbide, graphite, or transformer-coupled)
  • Control type (Zero Cross or Phase Angle)
  • Command signal (4-20mA, 0-5Vdc, 0-10Vdc, etc.)
  • Digital communication requirements, if applicable (i.e. Modbus TCP RTU, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, etc.)
  • Required certifications such as UL, CE, RoHS, or SCCR
